Mull - gauze
Mull is usually made from cotton. Fine threads are made to get a wide mashed greige good. Mull is primarily used for reinforcing book blocks (while the adhesive is still open or wet). We are able to vary the number of threads and the stiffness of the mull in order to meet your needs for a variety of applications.
Our Mulls vary in their thread count; more threads yield higher tensile strength.
SU135Mull SU135 is used in most cases to add reinforcing strength for books. It is applied while the glue is open (wet)
SU140Mull SU140 has more strength due to its two extra plys - one each in the warp and weft directions
SU170Mull SU170 has twenty threads in the warp direction achieving a warp tensile strength greater than 300 N/50mm.
SU1110Mull SU1110 is differentiated by its thicker yarn with excellent tensile strength in both the warp and the weft directions.
SU365Mull SU365 is specifically designed for library binding and other rigorous applications. With a three-ply warp Mull SU365 is the ultimate reinforcing.
SU365-hMull SU365-h is same as our SU365 but more stiffness, little harder in grip. |
